Andharban Jungle Trek is located in the Pune district of Maharashtra. It is within the bounds of the Western Ghats mountain range. Usually, the trek begins from a quaint village called Pimpri sitting close to Tamhini Ghat. It finishes in Bhira village, which is near the backwaters of Bhira dam.

The Andharban Jungle Trek distance is approximately 13 to 14 kilometers, starting from Pimpri village and descending all the way to Bhira, near the Bhira Dam backwaters. This moderate trek usually takes 4 to 6 hours to complete, depending on your pace and the season. At Adventure Pulse, we take you to little more than halfway through the trail and take you back on the same route in order to make it suitable for all age group and beginners. This way we avoid the last descent section to Bhira, which is relatively steep and challenging.

Andharban Jungle Trek Route Overview
Start to Finish: Pimpri to Bhira or Start and End at Pimpri to avoid the steep descent to Bhira.
This one-way trek begins at Pimpri village and descends 13 kilometers to Bhira. Alternatively you can return after reaching any of the view points via the same route back to Pimri.

Andharban Jungle Trek Difficulty Level
It’s a Moderate to Easy grade trek. The trail is definitely long and could be tiring for some. However, it is not very steep. The route is pretty much straight forwards and without any tricky or technical sections. The full route is moderate and requires good stamina while the short route is easy and great option for people with basic fitness.
