It sits at an elevation of approximately 1,780 meters (5,840 feet) and is best known for its natural hot springs, which lie about a 15–20 minute downhill walk from the village, beside the Modi Khola river.

The natural thermal baths are the main attraction. Built into stone pools along the river, the hot water is rich in minerals and offers a soothing break for tired legs—especially welcome after days of steep Himalayan trekking. Most trekkers stop at Jhinu Danda while descending from Annapurna Base Camp. It’s a popular overnight halt because of its relaxing ambiance and comfortable tea houses.
