4. How difficult is the K2S (Katraj to Sinhagad) trek?

K2S trek is considered as one of the most difficult treks near Pune. The major challenge the trek presents is the distance which is approx. 16 km. Another major factor that adds to the difficulty is the multiple hills that one needs to cross in order to reach the endpoint near Sinhagad Fort. Some of the sections on the trail are steep and it is tiresome to climb up the hill, descend down and again continue climbing towards the next hill. There is no water or food station in between so one needs to carry sufficient water and some light snacks. As it is a night trek, expect it to be cold and windy.
