One of our newest offerings, The Binsar Zero Point Trek is the perfect getaway from the city. The trek gives you the chance to visit the beautiful Kumaon region. The trek begins at our campsite in Binsar; The Binsar Adventure Camp, an Eco Campsite located at the periphery of the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary. The campsite is a permanent campsite with top of the line Swiss Tents. The campsite truly has something for everyone, from individuals wanting to spend some time in the mountains or families with children who are looking for an adventure-filled vacation. The Binsar Zero Point trek also offers a fantastic opportunity for parents to introduce their children to the joys of trekking and the marvels of nature. Along with the trek, you get an opportunity to learn about the culture of the Kumaon Himalayas and the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary.
Perched high up in the Kumaon Himalayas, Binsar Zero Point offers breathtaking views of the snowy mountain ranges of Panchchuli, Shivling, Chaukhamba, Trishul and Nanda Devi. The trek itself is not strenuous and is the perfect start to your high-altitude trekking repertoire. We recommend the trek for beginners, children or someone looking for a chance to get out the crowded cities.
If you are a nature lover, the Binsar wildlife sanctuary is the perfect place. The Binsar Zero Point trek has a maximum altitude of 2420m, additionally, the grade for the trek is in the easy to medium range. This makes it perfect for children and families looking to introduce their children to nature and the joys of trekking. The trek to Binsar Zero Point will provide with them views that will last a lifetime. If you choose to go for the trek in winter, you also have the chance to watch them witness their first snowfall. With snowball fights and snow angels, rich biodiversity and comfortable swiss tents the Binsar Zero Point trek will guarantee them forgetting about their phones.
For people looking for a short weekend getaway, the Binsar Zero Point is the perfect trek. With it being a relatively easy trek and its low altitude, the trek allows you to recharge your batteries in the lap of nature. Any long weekends can be utilized to enjoy this majestic place. You can also team the trek with sightseeing of the nearby areas such as Almora and Nainital.

The Binsar Zero Point Trek begins from the Binsar Adventure Camp. The nearest airport is Pantnagr. There are flights that fly regularly from Delhi via Dehradun. From Pantnagar, Binsar Adventure Camp is a 4-hour drive. Please do contact us ad we’d be happy to arrange transportation from the airport to the campsite.
The nearest railway station to Binsar is Kathgodam. There are regular trains from New Delhi Railway Station with the New Delhi- Kathgodam Shatabdi being the most popular. From the railway station, the Binsar Adventure Camp is a 3-hour drive.
The Binsar Adventure Camp is a 350 km (close to 8 hours) drive from New Delhi and 111 kms (around 3 hours) from Nanital. If you have a larger group, you can hire a cab from Delhi.
Yes, you can choose to stay at the campsite for longer. If you wish, Adventure-Pulse can organize sightseeing tours into the wildlife sanctuary and a journey to Jim Corbett National Park. After the completion of the trek you can also visit the city of Nanital and Almora.
While in the Binsar Adventure Camp you will be staying in spacious swiss tents; i.e. tents with a bed inside. For images on the tents you can refer to the Gallery Section. While in Santri, you will be staying in a traditional Pahadi Guest House where you’ll get an opportunity to witness the traditional lifestyle of the locals.
While at the Adventure Camp, all meals will be served in the common dining area which has a beautiful view of the forests. It also has indoor and outdoor seating, perfect for the sunset dinners. The camp has an option of both Non-Vegetarian and Vegetarian food. All the food will be prepared fresh at the campsite itself. In Santri, we will be having the traditional food and on the trek to Binsar Zero Point we will be providing packed lunch.
While in the Adventure Camp, shower facilities are available with hot water. As we move to Santri and then Binsar Zero Point there are no shower facilities.
The Binsar Zero Point Trek is not a difficult trek and but does require a certain level of fitness. The trek itself is for two days and involves some altitude gain. The trek is perfect for young kids and beginners. Most people would be able to complete the trek; however, we would recommend the basic fitness plan below:
Consistency is the key and the best way to encourage children is to create a game out of the workout. Since the trek is a family-friendly trek, you can ask the entire family to participate in the fitness regime.
